I’m not trying to leave but I don't want to be 

left.

And everyday you just seem so much f  a  r  t  h  e  r away.

Even now as I write this I wonder if you'll read it.

But these days you’re so busy and I know that you probably won’t. 

And I suppose that’s okay.

I'll just keep pretending that it doesn't hurt me.

I'll just keep all my feelings to myself.

And I don't want to be responsible for a miscommunication.

But I’ll do what I have to, to protect the last of my & 

Because even though you don't mean to, you’re starting to break it.

It’s bending and twisting under this awkwardness.
