Often times I go to the library cafe'. Its a normal thing for me. Unfortunately I usually come across situations that are... obstinate. And today there was an unnatural large amount.
I'll tell you about one.
I'm sitting here on my laptop minding my own business and this woman comes in. Now people often come into a cafe'. Its what its here for. But the odd thing about this particular woman was her attire. She was wearing a bright blue leather jacket.(didn't know they made leather that color.) A pair of red leopard print leggings. A pair of blue heels with a huge flower on the toe. And if all of that wasn't enough, around her neck she had some kind of fur animal hide around her neck. And not just the fur. But the WHOLE animal skin. Yes, staring at me from any angle she moved was the beady eyes of some unknown animal. If nothing else happened after this it would still be a great story.
But it doesn't end here. Please, Read on...
She then proceeded to ask me where the soup was. I, being the observant person that I am, politely told her that it was next to the microwave in the giant pan marked "Soup" She had a hard time finding it so i answered telling her
"Here i'll get it for you."
I guess since I had the answer to her first question, she assumed i knew the answers to EVERYTHING because She asked a half million questions after that. She asked me where the spoons were, where the crackers were, what the soup was made out of, i mean everything she could ask me, she did.
Then, when she finally had her soup and all its extremities she sat down.
The worker, who had been in the back during this whole montage of Q and A's, came out and asked the, animal warmth loving, lady if she needed help paying.
Now if you've stuck with me through out this story I applaud you, because this is where the real plot twist comes in.
The lady then answers,
"Oh no, this young lady said she'd get it for me."
She was completely serious.
This was me... minding my own and suddenly being asked to pay for someones soup. Then trying to figure out how I got played by an oddly dressed, elderly woman.
And after I worked out what was going on and PAID for her soup. I sat the rest of the time like this...
Oh old people. Why must you be so manipulative? And where do you get blue leather or whole animal skins?
